INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />KITTITAS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND KITTITAS COUNTY <br />HOSPITAL DISTRICT NO. 2 <br />FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH OUTREACH SERVICES <br />This agreement is entered into between Kittitas County Public Health Department, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of Washington, (hereinafter "KCPHD"), and Kittitas County Hospital <br />District No. 2, a { olitical subdivision of the State of Washington and doing business as Upper <br />Kittitas County Medic One, (hereinafter referred to as "Medic One"). <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 39.34 of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW), the Interlocal <br />Cooperation Act, allows governmental agencies to enter into agreements that provide for <br />the efficient use of their powers and to cooperate with each other in providing services; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, KCPHD needs a location whereby they can provide Upper County <br />residents with community health outreach services which include but are not limited to <br />syringe exchange, overdose prevention, medical and social care referrals, STD testing, <br />and vaccines; and <br />WHEREAS, KCPHD has procured a mobile unit per a separate agreement with Kittitas <br />Valley Fire and Rescue that will serve as a portable clinic to provide the services <br />described herein; and <br />WHEREAS, Medic One has a suitable location, not currently in use, consisting of a <br />covered parking area large enough for KCPHD's mobile unit with nearby parking for <br />potential participants that KCPHD can utilize to provide such services; and <br />WHEREAS, KCPHD and Medic One find it desirable and in each other's best interest to <br />enter into this agreement; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, KCPHD and Medic One agree as follows: <br />1. <br />2. <br />Purpo · . The purpose of this Agreement is to authorize KCHPD to park a mobile unit on <br />property owned by Medic One and to operate community health outreach services to <br />residents in the Upper County out of the mobile unit on a weekly basis. <br />Statement of Work. <br />2.1 Medic One will allow KCPHD free access to and use of the side lot covered <br />parking area located at 505 Power Street, Cle Elum. <br />2.2 Medic One agrees to allow patients and staff to park in designated parking areas <br />on the property and access the property to obtain services from KCPHD. <br />Interlocal Agreement Page 1 of 5
