PROJECT #7 Weather Station/Forest Technology System 1 $16,080 <br />In the Saddle Mountain Range area adjacent to the Colockum range, a huge gap exists in available <br />weather information, particularly wind speed and direction and humidity. The weather station is <br />DESCRIPTION: capable of determining wind speed and direction, humidity levels, temperature, and preCipitation . <br />The data will be available on a public website and will help with decision-making conceming natural <br />or human-caused (terrorism) wildland fires. It will also help the EOC in determining evacuation <br />strategies and assist the Fire Marshall's Office with data needed to declare bum bans. <br />PROJECT#B SWAT Tactical Pole Camera I $8,445 <br />The camera, attached to a telescopic pole capable of extending up to a second story window, has <br />the ability to rotate to view an entire room . Images taken are sent to a monitor for review and can <br />DESCRIPTION: be used for tactical situation decision-making such as when it is safe for personnel to enter a room . <br />The Kittitas County SpeCial Response Team will use the camera to limit exposure to hostile threats, <br />greatly enhancing the safety of the officers. <br />DHS-FEMA-HGSP-SHSP / FY15 Page 3 of 4 Kittitas, County Of, E16-071, Amendment A
