KITTITAS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br />I. Purpose <br />DEPARTMENT POLICY & PROCEDURES <br />Working in a Public Health Emergency <br />The purpose of this policy is to provide Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD) <br />employees with guidelines for working in a public health emergency. <br />II. Policy <br />A. EXpecrati.Oll;S : KCPHD employees may be expected to work during times of public health <br />emergencies. During a public health emergency, KCPHD shall make efforts to assist <br />employees in meeting this expectation. <br />B. Communication: Employees shall be informed in advance of where and when to report to <br />work. If the employee is unable to get to the assigned work site, the employee must <br />contact their supervisor as soon as possible. <br />C. Re"Spoos''bilitU;s : During a public health emergency, employees are expected to make <br />every effort possible to get to the assigned work site after caring for their own immediate <br />needs. <br />D. Compensation: Employees shall be compensated in accordance with Kittitas County <br />Personnel Policies. <br />III. Applicability <br />A. This policy applies to all KCPHD staff. <br />B. This policy is effective on the date both the Public Health Administrator and the Health <br />Officer have signed. <br />C.
