Kittitas County -Local 792 <br />January 1, 2016 -December 31, 2018 <br />14.2.3 Effective July 1, 2017, wages will increase by 1%. <br />14.2.4 Effective January 1, 2018, wages will increase by 1%. <br />14.2 .5 Effective July 1, 2018, wages will increase by 1%. <br />No premium pay will be paid for work while in a training capacity. An employee will be considered to <br />be in a training capacity if another employee is receiving premium pay for completing the task for the <br />purpose of instruction, demonstration, or coaching. <br />14.3 Mechanics will provide their own hand tools and tool boxes. To provide for technological <br />updating and replacement of tools, each mechanic shall receive a $.35 per hour tool allowance in <br />addition to the wage listed in the table above. The County will purchase "Shop Tools" which are <br />normally not supplied by mechanics. <br />14.4 Overt i me hours shall be shown separately from straight t i me hours on the employee 's payroll <br />check . <br />14.5 Longevity pay, in addition to wages, will be paid according to the following schedule . <br />Length of service (years completed) Longevity per hour <br />10 years $.47 <br />15 years $.51 <br />20 years $.57 <br />25 years $.63 <br />ARTICLE XV -SENIORITY <br />15.1 Seniority for this section means an employee's length of continuous service within the <br />bargaining unit. <br />15.2 New employees shall complete a six (6)-month probation period and be added to the seniority <br />list six (6) months after their date of hire. All employees will be classified as regular employees upon <br />completion of their probation and credited for service during that time. <br />15.3 An employee's continuous service record shall be broken by voluntary resignation, layoff for a <br />period of more than one (1) year, discharge for just cause and retirement. During a layoff, an employee <br />will not accrue seniority. If the employee is recalled within one (1) year the employee will not lose <br />seniority accrued before layoff. <br />ARTICLE XVI -JOB POSTINGS <br />16.1 The Employer shall be the sole determiner of the need or necessity for filling any vacancy or <br />newly created position. <br />14
