The Roslyn Volunteer Fire Department was created as the Hose Company No. 1 and was <br />organized in 1888. It was also known as the Alert Company No. 1. This Company was organized <br />in the early history of Roslyn before the town was incorporated. The fire alarm system is now a <br />pager system. The current fire department is located at 203 South First (State Route 903). The <br />Roslyn Fire Department serves approximately one thousand and twenty full time residents within <br />the City limits. <br />NO PROJECTS FORECASTED: <br />FIRE HALL -203 S 1ST ST <br />This building was built in 1973, by volunteer fireman, to house fire trucks and equipment. In 2005, the <br />furnace was updated from coal to oil. <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS: <br />FI-l-CEMETERY FIRE SYSTEM <br />Schedule: 2016 <br />Estimated Cost: $10,000 <br />This project would include <br />FI-2 -FOREST FIRE PERIMETER <br />Schedule: 2016 Annually <br />Estimated Cost: $10,000 <br />This project would prepare and implement an ongoing maintenance plan for the forest <br />perimeter, including Section 17. <br />FI-3 -EQUIPMENT UPDATE <br />Schedule: 2017 <br />Estimated Cost: $50,000 <br />This project would include <br />FI-S -AIR PACKS <br />Schedule: 2016 <br />Estimated Cost: $24,000 <br />This project would include <br />POLICE FACILITIES PLAN <br />The Cle ElumjRoslynjSouth Cle Elum Police Department was formed in July of the year 2000, under an <br />interlocal agreement.
