W2RCPG-lS17-KiCPHD-00089 <br />BETWEEN R IVED <br />THE STATE OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY <br />AND NOV 30 2016 <br />Oept of Ecology <br />Central Regional Offic(> <br />KITTlTAS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH <br />PURPOSE: To amend the above-referenced agreement (AGREEMENT) between the state of Washington Department <br />of Ecology (ECOLOGY) and Kittitas County Public Health (RECIPIENT) for the KC PHD Solid Waste Enforcement <br />(PROJECT). <br />To amend the scope of work to allow for the reimbursement oftrainings and conferences and memberships related to <br />task activities. <br />IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED that the AGREEMENT is amended as follows: <br />CHANGES TO SCOPE OF WORK <br />Task Number: Task Cost: $45,798.27 <br />Task Title: Solid Waste Enforcement <br />Task Desoription: <br />The RECIPIENT intends to monitor solid waste handling facility compliance with applicable state solid waste <br />regulations. The RECIPIENT will monitor 8 active solid waste permitted facilities, 1 facility that is in post closure <br />status, and 7 exempt facilities for compliance; investigate solid waste related complaints; offer technical assistance <br />regarding solid waste issues; conduct secured load ordinance education events; as well as community syringe education <br />and collection events. <br />The RECIPIENT expects to investigate solid waste related complaints or concerns. The RECIPIENT expects to offer <br />technical assistance about solid waste regulations and how to prevent violations, and enforce as necessary. The <br />RECIPIENT expects to provide public education about proper handling and disposal methods. <br />With written approval from Ecology the recipient may request reimbursement for attendance at trainings and <br />conferences and memberships fees related to task activities. <br />Task Goal Statement: <br />To protect human health and the environment by monitoring compliance with state and local solid waste regulations, <br />and enforcing compliance when necessary. <br />Task Expected OutGome: <br />The RECIPIENT expects to complete at least one inspection per calendar year at each permitted solid waste facility or <br />site identified under this activity. <br />Version 10/30/2015 <br />)
