The department must consult with the Washington s1ate economic development <br />commission in the establishment Of such unifonn data as Is needed to conduct 8 Sfati9Wide systemic <br />ana~s1s of the stQte's economJc development programs and expendihl8s. In cooperation with other local. <br />regional, and state planning efforts. contracting organlZatfons may provide insight into the needs of target <br />Industry dusters, business expansion plans, earty dBtectJon of potential relocations or layoffs , training <br />needs, and other appropriate economic Information; <br />(0) In COnjunction with other governments/jurisdictions and i1stftutlOO6. participate (participating} in the <br />development of a coun1ywide econpmlc development plan. consistent with the state comprehensive pian <br />for economic development developed by the Washington state economic development commission. <br />(2) The department must provide business services training to the contracting organizations, including <br />but not limited to: <br />(a) Training In the fundamentals of export assistance and the services available from private and <br />public export assistance providers in the state; and <br />(b) Training in the provision of business retention and expansion services as required by subsection <br />(1)(b)(i)(E) of this section. <br />12012 c 195 § 1; 2011 c 286 § 2; 2009 c 151 § 10; 2007 c 249 § 2; 1997 c 60 § 1; 1993 c 280 § 11.J
