Using all digital <br />review and distribution technology Securus eMessaging will provide a new communication option <br />between family and friends and inmates. Redeployment of mailroom resources to the important <br />work of securing the facility, inmates and visitors reduces paper mail and contraband. The <br />messaging engine is based on the most widely used messaging platform in the corrections industry <br />today. The highly configurable platform supports the range of facilities from those who want full <br />automated message screening to those who prefer to review all messages. <br /> <br />eMessaging is available at no cost to facilities where SVV on ConnectUs is already deployed. <br /> <br />Family and Friends <br />Family and friends will access eMessaging on www.securustech.net or the Securus Mobile app for <br />Android. The Apple app will be enhanced later this year to support eMessaging. eMessaging is paid <br />for by the public and each message can contain up to 4,000 characters. <br /> <br />Family and friends purchase virtual books of ‘stamps’ in order to communicate with an inmate using <br />eMessaging.
