JACOBS
Memorandum
600 108th Avenue, N.E. Suite 700
Bellevue, Washington 98004
United States
T +1,425.452.8000
F +1.425.452.1212
w jaoobs.com
Date April 22, 2016
Attention Jeff Johnson, Watershed Science and Engineering
From Craig Broadhead, Project Manager
Subject Kittitas County Floodplains by Design Grant Support
The intent of this memorandum is to provide a draft scope and fee for the preparation of three
Floodplains by Design grant packages to the Department of Ecology. Tasks to be completed by
Jacobs include:
Task 1 — Grant Preparation - This task includes grant writing, review, technical editing, and
QA/QC for three Floodplains by Design grants.
Task 2 - Grant Application Support - This task includes project history and review,
engagement and coordination with stakeholders, and grant coordination with Ecology and the
County.
Task 3 - Project Management - This task includes Jacobs project controls and administrative
tasks.
Assumptions:
The Jacobs Project Manager has the ability to move budget/hours between Tasks to
meet deliverables as requested by the County.
Effort between tasks may be scalable depending on level of effort required for each
grant. Savings due to this scaling will be used on the larger, more complex grant
applications or will remain unspent at completion.
• Project Management is estimated at 2.5 hours per month.
Deliverables:
Jacobs will work with WSE to provide full grant submittal packages for three Floodplains by
Design grants.
Jacobs will coordinate with WSE and the County during grant preparation, and will provide draft
and final grant packages for review.
Jacobs will coordinate with WSE, the County and Department of Ecology to provide complete
and thorough applications.
Jacob= Enginee;'ng Group Inc.
