BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 - <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works submitted three preliminary Floodplain by Design <br />grant applications prepared by Watershed Science and Engineering on January <br />28, 2016; and <br />WHEREAS: Grant agencies have selected all three preliminary grant applications for final <br />grant submittal; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has an open task order contract with Watershed Science and <br />Engineering; and <br />WHEREAS: Unfilled positions in Public Works generate sufficient cost savings to offset the <br />$49,956.00 needed for Watershed Science and Engineering to complete the <br />three Floodplain by Design grant applications (Phase III Reecer Creek, Yakima <br />River Corridor Implementation and Manastash Creek Land Acquisitions); <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Director's signature on Task Order No. 13 with <br />Watershed Science and Engineering preparing three final Floodplain by Design grant <br />applications (Reecer, Yakima and Manastash) submitted by July 1, 2016. <br />DATED this 3rd day of May, 2016, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Obie O'Brien.
