Improve Wye Park trailheadfacilities including public restrooms,and wetlandflood <br />basin. <br />•CoalTraxMountain Bike &Skills Park <br />Develop a destination mountain bike park on 30 acres of land for all skill levels and <br />all age groups completingthe already initiated by volunteerefforts.Complete park <br />improvementsincluding parking,signage,and trail improvements. <br />3.Real Property:If real property acquisition is a componentof the project,please <br />explain.Include any information of property already secured or evidence of the <br />ability to secure the real property. <br />This Towns to TeanawayCorridor grant applicationfocuses on the acquisition of <br />243 acres of property consisting of multiple parcels with three different <br />landowners.One landowner holds 11 parcels (160 acres)and is willing to sell <br />the property for the purposes of recreational connectivity.Two other landowners <br />hold one parcel each (20 acres and 63 acres)and partners have or will engage <br />these landowners to negotiatea sale.Our list of partners includes multiple local, <br />regional,and global scale non-profit land trusts that have experiencein <br />successfully negotiatingwith private landowners,finding state,federal,and <br />private funding sources to successfully implementprojects similar to the Towns <br />to TeanawayCorridor project. <br />4.Coordination:Please explain how this project has been coordinated with other <br />jurisdictions as well as affected stakeholders.Please include letters of support <br />from stakeholders. <br />There have been two stakeholdermeetings with regard to this project;the first <br />took place in January of 2017 and the second in March of 2017.There were <br />representativesfrom 13 stakeholdergroups at these meetingsand all agreed to <br />assist with coordinating this project.The stakeholderspresent included: <br />Washington Trails Association,Roslyn Urban Forest,Kittitas Conservation Trust, <br />Roslyn City Council Members,CWU Geography Department,WA Department of <br />Natural Resources,Western Conservation Project,Kittitas County Park & <br />Recreation District No.1,Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust,Evergreen <br />Mountain Bike Alliance,Suncadia Fund for Community Enhancement,Tapas <br />SustainableForest Collaborativeand The Nature Conservancy.During these <br />meetingswe determined that we would continue to collaborateand cooperate to <br />realize the common objectiveof recreational connectivity.The next stakeholder <br />meeting is scheduled to be held the week of April 17th <br />5.Studies:Please attach any feasibility or other studies that demonstratelinkages <br />between the proposed project and the anticipated tourism impacts.Also please <br />include your operations/maintenancestrategy and other plans for long-term
