civil narrative (cont.) <br />to the city gravity main located in the alley just north of the rodeo arena.The proposed sewer <br />lift station will be a duplex system with a gas tight lid to address odor concerns.The duplex <br />system allows for pump redundancy to allow the rodeo facility to be used should one pump <br />fail.The size of the lift station is based on coordination with the plumbing designer (number <br />of anticipated fixtures).During final design the lift station capacity will be coordinated with <br />plumbing designer. <br />As mentioned above the existing Gold Buckle will not need to be routed to the proposed <br />sewer lift station because it is currently serviced by an existing lift station.The maintenance <br />crew indicated that the sewer lift station is directly routed to the city gravity main located in the <br />alley to the north.The maintenance crew also indicated that this lift station has not had any <br />issue since it has been installed.There are no maintenance records on the existing system. <br />The force main from the existing lift station will rerouted around the proposed improvements <br />(northeast stands etc.).The force main length is anticipated to be roughly the same length and <br />will use the same diameter pipe,therefore no changes to the existing lift station are anticipated. <br />Proposed Strom Drainage <br />Any and all storm drainage systems proposed will be in conformance with the Eastern <br />Washington Stormwater Management Manual.The proposed site will consist of no pollutant <br />generating surfaces (pedestrian walks and roofs).The proposed gravel/concrete pedestrian <br />walks will all sheet flow to catch basins which will be piped to new infiltration galleries.The <br />infiltration galleries will directly infiltrate all stormwater runoff. <br />Based on preliminary discussions with the City of Ellensburg and review of the Department <br />of Ecology UIC (Underground Injection Criteria)swales are not anticipated for stormwater <br />treatment.Instead the soils underneath the infiltration galleries will be used for stormwater <br />treatment (vadose zone).A geotechnical investigation and report will be conducted prior to <br />the final design phase (construction documents).The results of the investigation may dictate <br />changes in the stormwater treatment approach. <br />kittitas county •ellensburg rodeo arena seating
