State of Washington Department of Ecology <br />Kittitas County Public Health <br />KCPHD Solid Waste Enforcement Project <br />Agreement No, W2RCPG-1517-KiCPHD-00089 <br />Amendment No. 2 <br />The RECIPIENT expects to investigate solid waste related complaints or concerns. The RECIPIENT expects to offer <br />technical assistance about solid waste regulations and how to prevent violations, and enforce as necessary. The <br />RECIPIENT expects to provide public education about proper handling and disposal methods. <br />With written approval from Ecology the recipient may request reimbursement for attendance at trainings and <br />conferences and memberships fees related to task activities. <br />Task Goal Statement: <br />To protect human health and the environment by monitoring compliance with state and local solid waste regulations, <br />and enforcing compliance when necessary. <br />Task Expected Outcome: <br />The RECIPIENT expects to complete at least one inspection per calendar year at each permitted solid waste facility or <br />site identified under this activity. <br />Recipient Task_ Coordinator: Holly Myers <br />Deliverables <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />Number <br />Description <br />Due Date <br />1.1 <br />Accomplish facility and other inspections as scheduled. This program will include educational materials focused on reducing <br />violations of the Kittitas County unsecured lad ordinance and informational events that involve face -to face <br />interactions with the public. This task will include costs covering staff hours and production of educational materials <br />for this program. <br />With written approval from Ecology the RECIPIENT may request reimbursement for attendance at trainings and <br />conferences and membership fees related to task activities. <br />Version 10/30/2015 <br />
