3. What tools will you use to measure your event's impact on tourism? Please be specific and provide examples. Include the
following information:
I. The American Made event is date specific, taking place Saturday and Sunday Fourth of July
weekend.
II. What strategies will you employ to assure you are attracting tourists from at least 50 miles away? We are hoping to
partner with the Kittitas County Chamber for advertisement campaign. Also print media that
will be posted state wide including Oregon and Idaho. Along with a website displaying our
partnerships. We will also be having a raffle basket entry for tracking purposes, besides
facebook, Instagram pages.
III. What strategies will you use to assist in marketing all of Kittitas County as a tourist destination with your event/project
funding request? American Made will market ALL of Kittitas County though media, media and
media. Linking: Tribune Visitors guide, Chamber, Kittitas County, All Cities/Towns in Kittitas
County. Also include taglines for other events.
4. Does your organization have, or have you applied for, grant funding from other sources? If not, why not? If yes, please list the
available funding you have for a project, including any volunteer and in-kind sources and/or the sources and amounts for which
you have applied. Please note which funding sources are secured and in hand so a true matching fund determination can be
determined. What changes would occur if the project couldn't be funded?
American Made is a brand new event. We are currently reaching out to other local possible
funding sources such as Suncadia Community Enhancement, Weyerhaeuser, Roslyn Downtown
Association and PSE, also private donors. We are working diligently towards securing funds
however nothing has been applied YET.
If this project were not to be funded:
1. Without Advertising/Marketing we could go with a lesser profile live band or not have one.
2. If we did not receive bleacher/equipment rental the spectators would stand for both days
causing them to leave or not show up.
3. The American Made event will still go on provided that we secure funds for insurance,
Not funding this event would cause a tremendous reduction in potential tourism that would
cause a reduction in tourism dollars.
This entire event is put together by volunteers trying to better our County. At this time I can't
speculate the magnitude of the volunteer hours that will be put into an event this size.
American Made is a 3 part event. 1. Mini Log Show Shootout 2.Beer Garden 3. Live Band- If we
can secure funding we will need a complete security team, lighting/rigging team, green room
team, travel to and from airport team, "backlight" team. Plus set up and tear down not to
mention the man power needed during the event. Based on $28.99 1 have no idea for in-kind
man hours.
