ANSWERS TO THE 2017 LODGING TAX FUND APPLICATION <br />6. Becoming Self -Sustaining: <br />In the past 2 years we've seen considerable growth within our <br />Vintner's Association. Having just obtained our non-profit status, <br />more doors and greater opportunities are available. We plan to <br />avail ourselves to these opportunities. Examples would be eligible <br />for reduced rate seminars, classes, lectures and on-line webinars. <br />As an Association we are committed to creating a business plan <br />that includes advancing our business savvy sense. Members of <br />our Association are currently taking advantage of the Lunch and <br />Learn business advice meetings. We will learn who to navigate, <br />update and maintain our own website. We will seek to work with <br />the Chamber to develop a 2 -year business plan that would <br />coincide with the 5t" year expiration date of this current funding <br />source. Within this business plan, we will identify private partners <br />and seek an event sponsor for a yearly wine experience event <br />such as a winter barrel tasting festival. <br />We are testing this event this year during the Christmas Festival <br />events the first weekend of December. <br />Kittitas Valley Vintners Page 11 of 13 <br />
