BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017 <br />TO AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR'S SIGNATURE FOR THE <br />PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL, ARCHAEOLOGICAL, AND PLANNING SERVICES <br />CONTRACT AND TO AUTHORIZE LIMITED PUBLIC WORKS SIGNATURE AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS: The County seeks Professional Environmental, Archaeological, and Planning <br />Services to supplement the abilities of the Public Works staff; and <br />WHEREAS: The County followed the guidance of RCW 39.80 throughout the advertisement <br />and selection process for said services; and <br />WHEREAS: The County has selected Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. to provide these <br />services; and <br />WHEREAS: The County will enter into a Local Agency Contract with Jacobs and will proceed <br />by Task Order Agreements for identified work which will describe the task and <br />cost prior to proceeding with a given project; and <br />WHEREAS: The Director and/or County Engineer signature authority to $50,000 will aid the <br />departments maintaining infrastructure and facilities to more responsively serve <br />the public; and <br />WHEREAS: Task Order Agreements in excess of $50,000 will be approved by resolution of the <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Public Works Director to sign the consultant <br />agreement. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners authorizes the Director <br />and County Engineer of Public Works signature authority for task orders totaling less than <br />$50,000 per project. <br />DATED this 7th day of February 2017, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Paul Jewell, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />Obie O'Brien, Commissioner <br />
