Kittitas County Law Enforcement Services Contract No. L12PCO0145 Spokane District, Oregon Page 8 of 25 6.6 It is further mutually agreed that the sum of$40,000 represents the maximum dollar amount for which the BLM will be responsible under the terms of this agreement during the contract base period. The Federal Government is not obligated to pay, nor is the Sheriff obligated to perform, any effort that will require the expenditure of funds above the total dollar amount set forth above. If at any time the Sheriff anticipates that _ additional funds will be required to perform the work set forth in this agreement,the Sheriff shall notify the COR, except in emergencies, at least 30 days before the anticipated date funds will be depleted. 6.7 The BLM agrees to reimburse KCSO at the rates below: Reserve deputies: $20.00 per hour. Line deputies: $55.00 per regular hour. Line deputies: $65.00 per overtime hour. 7.0 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE 7.1 This contract effective as of date of signing and shall remain in effect from October 1, 2012,through September 30, 2014,unless terminated in accordance with the applicable clauses and provisions. 8.0 INDEMNIFICATION To the extent permitted by law, each party hereto agrees to indemnify and save the other harmless from any claim, liability or damage resulting from any error, omission, or act of negligence on the part of the indemnifying party, its officers, employees or agents in the performance (or nonperformance) of its responsibilities under this contract,provided the parties will not be required to indemnify the other for any such liability arising out of the wrongful act of the other's officers, employees or agents. 9.0 KEY OFFICIALS 9.1 Contracting Officer(CO) Walter B.
