Request to Approve a Resolution to Award the bid
to furnish Snow & Ice Control Products for 2027.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Public Works went out to bid for
the furnishing of specific snow & ice control
products in accordance with specifications.
Bids were opened on October 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
in the Public Works Department and three (3) bids
were received.
Public Works recommends awarding the bid to two
(2) Vendors for Item 3: Soil Stabilizer/Magnesium
Chloride to ensure availability of product and one
(1) Vendor for the remaining products.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve a Resolution to Award the bid to
furnish Snow & Ice Control Products for 2027.
HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works

RESOLUTION NO. 2026 -
TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH SNOW & ICE CONTROL PRODUCTS FOR 2027
AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SIGN CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was advertised for Snow and Ice Control Products for 2027
on October 8, 2026, and October 15, 2026; and
WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on October 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the office of Kittitas
County Public Works and three (3) bids were received and deemed responsive; and
WHEREAS: The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bid of EnviroTech
Services, LLC for Item #1 Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride and for
Item #3 Soil Stabilizer/Magnesium Chloride; the responsible bid of Meenderinck
LLC, for Item #3 Soil Stabilizer/Magnesium Chloride; and the responsible of Bob
Rankin LLC for Item #2 Non -Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride be accepted
for Snow & Ice Control Products for 2027; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best
interest of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2027 Snow & Ice Control Products to
EnviroTech Services, LLC for Item #1 Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride and for Item
#3 Soil Stabilizer/Magnesium Chloride; the responsible bid of Meenderinck LLC, for Item #3 Soil
Stabilizer/Magnesium Chloride; and the responsible bid of Bob Rankin LLC for Item #2 Non -
Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride, upon such terms and conditions as specified in the
Proposal submitted by said bidder(s); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Works Director is authorized to sign the contract
documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s).
