Contract/Grant Summary: The purpose of this Interlocal Agreement is to provide funding, provided by
the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration (NHTSA), for traffic safety grant project 2027-Sub-grants-6133-Region 12 Law
Enforcement Liaison (LEL). The purpose of the Local Lasw Enforcement Liaison project is to strengthen
partnerships between WTSC and local law enforcement agencies and increase sustained law enforcement
engagement in traffic safety. The LEL will serve as a trusted resource to promote traffic safety initiatives,

and help address barriers to participation, and support communication and coordination among law
