Kittitas County Public Works submitted an application for $64,500 to the Washington
Military Department, Emergency Management Divisi.on Flood Response: County Risk
and Needs Assessment Grant Program to conduct a Naneum Creek Flood Assessment
and develop a mitigation plan; and
The Naneum Creek Flood Assessment and Mitigation Plan will evaluate flooding and
identifu mitigation actions for approximately 3,100 feet of Naneum Creek, where
significant flooding occuned during the 2023 and December 2025 flood events; and
This project is identified in the Flood Control Zone District Capital Improvement Plan as
Project No. l4d; and
The Emergency Management Division notified Kittitas County that the Naneum Creek
Flood Assessment and Mitigation Plan application has been selected for funding; and

authorization form identi$ring the authorizing authority and authorized representatives on
behalf of Kittitas County for the grant agreement, amendments, and reimbursement
requests; and

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners finds it in the best
interest of the public to authorize the Chairman to sign the signature authorization form and to designate
the authorized representatives on behalf of Kittitas County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Water Resource Manager is authorized to accept funding and
sign the grant agreement and amendments;
