RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHAIRMAN'S SIGNATURE ON THE SIGNATURE
AUTHORIZATION FORM FOR THE WASHINGTON MILITARY DEPARTMENT,
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIVISION FLOOD RESPONSE: COUNTY RISK AND NEEDS
ASSESSMENT GRANT PROGRAM FOR KITTITAS COUNTY REPETITIVE LOSS AREA
ANALYSIS AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS WATER RESOURCE MANAGER
TO ACCEPT FUNDING AND SIGN THE GRANT AGREEMENT AND AMENDMENTS
WHEREAS:Kittitas County Public Works submitted an application for $91,000 to the Washington
Military Department, Emergency Management Division Flood Response: County Risk
and Needs Assessment Grant Program to conduct a Kittitas County Repetitive Loss Area
Analysis; and
WHEREAS:The Kittitas County Repetitive Loss Area Analysis will evaluate seven repetitive loss
areas and support Kittitas County's continued participation in the National Flood
Insurance Program's Community Rating System Program; and
WHEREAS: This project is identified in the Flood Control Zone District Capital Improvement Plan as
ProjectNo. 1a; and
WHEREAS: The Emergency Management Division notified Kittitas County that the Kittitas County
Repetitive Loss Area Analysis application has been selected for funding; and
WHEREAS:The Emergency Management Division requires Kittitas County to submit a signature
authorization form identiffing the authorizing authority and atthorized representatives on
behalf of Kittitas County for the grant agreement, amendments, and reimbursement
requests; and
WHEREAS: The signature authorization form is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners finds it in the best
interest of the public to authorize the Chairman to sign the signature authorization form and to designate
the authorized representatives on behalf of Kittitas County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Water Resource Manager is authorized to accept funding and
sign the grant agreement and amendments;
