ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Remit Cancelled Claims
Warrants to Washington State Department of Revenue – Unclaimed
Property
BACKGROUND: Per R.C.W. 63.30 Unclaimed property must be reported by October
31st of each year. Funds for the outstanding claims fund warrants
dated between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025 must be reported to the
Department of Revenue by October 31, 2026. The Auditor’s office
and Treasurer’s office have voided and cancelled the unclaimed
warrants totaling $1,956.41 for the period between July 1, 2024 and
June 30, 2025 and will remit these funds to Washington State
Department of Revenue – Unclaimed Property.
INTERACTION: The Auditor’s office has generated a list of outstanding warrants
totaling $1,956.41. These warrants have been voided and cancelled
by the Auditor’s office and Treasurer’s office
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution to Remit Cancelled Claims
Warrants to Washington State Department of Revenue – Unclaimed
Property
