A Resolution to Remit Cancelled Claims Warrants to Washington State Department of
Revenue – Unclaimed Property
WHEREAS, the following Attachment A of Claims Fund warrants were issued between July
1, 2024 and June 30, 2025, in the total amount of $1,956.41 and
WHEREAS, Attachment A of lists the Claims Fund warrants that have been cancelled by the
County Auditor and County Treasurer and are to be remitted to the Department of Revenue-
Unclaimed Property Division; and
WHEREAS, the required due diligence letters for unclaimed warrants over $50.00 were
mailed on July 27, 2026; and
WHEREAS, per R.C.W 63.30 Unclaimed Property must be reported by October 31st of each
year, and Kittitas County selects the option to remit the unclaimed funds to the Department of
Revenue;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the funds for the voided Claims Fund warrant
numbers listed in Attachment A totaling $1,956.41 be remitted to the Department of Revenue –
Unclaimed Property Division
