RESOLUTION NO. 2026-________
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE KITTITAS COUNTY FIRE MARSHAL’S
COST PER FIRE MARSHAL FOR THE BUDGET YEAR 2026
WHEREAS, Kittitas County Fire Marshal provides services through the permit process, for
which it charges a rate for each type of service/permit. This rate will be used to justify the rate
charged to the public for permit/services, and
WHEREAS, according to the United States Office of Management & Budget, to 2 CFR Part 200,
Uniform Administration Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal
Awards (Uniform Guidance), Kittitas County Fire Marshal needs to adopt a rate for the Cost of a
Fire Marshal, and
WHEREAS, the County Auditor’s Office has reviewed and approved the Cost per Fire Marshal
plan and determined the Kittitas County Fire Marshal to comply, and
WHEREAS, the attached documentation shows the calculation rate for the Cost per Fire Marshal
as per the requirements for 2 CFR Part 200, Uniform Administration Requirements, Cost
Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of County
Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington adopts the following:
Non-Federal:
Regular hours non-federal $87.34
for the Cost per Fire Marshal for Kittitas County Fire Marshal as certified by the County Auditor,
effective November 1, 2026.
