AGENDA DATE: <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />AIRPORT DEPARTMENT <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />October 6, 2026 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Notice of Call for Sealed Bids for the <br />Leasing of County Owned Airport Property for <br />Agricultural Purposes. <br />BACKGROUND: Bowers Field includes approximately 800 acres of <br />agricultural property across seven (7) tracts. For over thirty <br />years land at Bowers Field has been leased for agricultural <br />purposes. The current lease terms end November 30, 2026. <br />With the current leases expiring there is interest in <br />continuing to provide agricultural property for lease. <br />The lease process is a sealed bid process, and the lessees <br />are bidding on a (5) five-year lease. Specific information <br />to individual tracts is outlined in the bid packet for clarity <br />to prospective bidders. Prospective bidders can receive a <br />bid packet from Kittitas County Public Works and online <br />with the Public Notice. Bids will be received at Public <br />Works and to be delivered prior to bid opening on October <br />29th, 2026, at 4:00pm.
