KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />October 6, 2026 <br />Request to Approve the Resolution to Award the <br />Barn/Clubhouse, Garage, and Shed Demolition and <br />Garbage Removal Project <br />BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works solicited bids for <br />the Barn/Clubhouse, Garage, and Shed Demolition <br />and Garbage Removal Project in accordance with <br />RCW 39.04.155, Small Works Roster Contract <br />Procedures. Sealed Bids were opened on <br />September 18, 2026, at 3:00pm. <br />INTERACTION: <br />One qualified bid was received for the prescribed <br />work. The lowest responsive bid was from Belsaas <br />and Smith Construction, Inc. in the amount of <br />$124,707.45. <br />This project will demolish and properly dispose of <br />three buildings and clean up of all debris and trash <br />on the site at 791 Ringer Loop Road, Ellensburg. <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to Award the <br />Barn/Clubhouse, Garage, and Shed Demolition and <br />Garbage Removal Project and authorize the Water <br />Resources Manager to sign said contract <br />documents. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Arden Thomas, Water Resources Manager <br />
