KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: October 6th, 2026 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Othello, Washington and the County of <br />Kittitas, Washington for the Housing of Inmates. <br />BACKGROUND: This Interlocal Agreement is a renewal between the City of Othello <br />and Kittitas County Jail for the Housing of Inmates from January 1, 2027, until December <br />31, 2027, subject to earlier termination as provided in the Agreement. The daily rate <br />proposed is $110.00/day in 2027. The rate of compensation for any inmate requiring <br />additional or specialized conditions of incarceration to the extent that they must be placed <br />alone in a single cell designed for double occupancy shall be $220.00/day in 2027. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved <br />this Interlocal Agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Othello, Washington and the County of <br />Kittitas, Washington for the Housing of Inmates. <br />HANDLING: Please return I signed original to KCSO.
