BOARD OF COI.TNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESoLUTIoN No. ,oro -IAJ <br />APPROVING CONTRACT SERVICES WITH JRP INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS SUPPORTING <br />BROADBAI\D BEAD GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS AI\ID AUTIIORTZING TIIE PTJBLIC <br />WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE THE SAME <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County adopted Resolution z}z3-OTzestablishing policy standards for broadband <br />infiastructure Lxpansion underthe authority of Kittitas County; and <br />WIIEREAS: previous grant applications have been awarded through the Public Works Board and the <br />Washingtin State Broadband office for rural broadband expansion in the County; and <br />WHEREAS: The passage of the Infrastructure Investrnent and.Jobs Act, Congress established the <br />groaaband,Equity,Access,andDeploymentProgram@EAD);and <br />WHEREAS: project areas within the County have been identified and set up by the State Broadband <br />offioe are viable for separate BEAD grant funding applications; and <br />WIIEREAS: The application process requires significant understanding of broadband; and <br />WHEREAS: JRP Integrated Solutions has previously been supporting County efforts with broadband <br />grantapplications,contractsandnetworkbestpractices;and <br />WIIEREAS: JRP Integrated Solutions has the knowledge and background to support BEAD <br />apPlications' <br />NOW, TIIEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of county commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby authorize a standard professional services confiact with JRP <br />Integrated Solutions to support BEAD applications; and <br />NOW, BE IT FURTIIER RESOLVED: the public works Director is directed to sign said confacts on <br />behalf of the Board of County Commissioners' <br />DATED this lst day of October2024,at Ellensburg, Washington' <br />BOARD OF COITNTY <br />KITTITAS <br />ABSENT <br />the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Vice-Chairman <br />tr Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Laura <br />Commissioner
