AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: September 1, 2026
ACTION REQUESTED: Request Boards approval for Chairs signature on Amendment No. 4
with SCS Engineers.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County has been working with SCS Engineers on the design
and construction phase of the new lower county transfer station.
Additional fees are being requested for the following:
1) To perform addition wind study and design to the MRW Facility
and the Transfer Station building
2) For additional time working with the City of Ellensburg on the
Storm Water plan.
3) Additional Construction phase support services
4) Record Drawing review
INTERACTION: SCS Engineers, and Solid Waste
RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Boards approval for Chairs signature on Amendment
No. 4 with SCS Engineers.
HANDLING: Return signed copy to Solid Waste.
ATTACHMENTS: Amendments and cost breakdown.
