KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: September 1, 2026 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Notice of Call for Sealed Bids for the <br />Whiskey Creek at Ellensburg Water Company Inverted <br />Siphon Project <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works has been working with the Kittitas County <br />Conservation District to design the Whiskey Creek at <br />Ellensburg Water Company Inverted Siphon Project. <br />Design is finalized and necessary land interests and project <br />permits have been secured to construct the project. The <br />Engineer's Estimate for the Project is $2,100,000.00 and <br />the project will be funded with flood control zone district <br />levy funding. <br />Bids for the Whiskey Creek at Ellensburg Water Company <br />Inverted Siphon Project are scheduled to be opened on <br />September 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Public Works <br />Department. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve a Notice of Call for Sealed Bids for the <br />Whiskey Creek at Ellensburg Water Company Inverted <br />Siphon Project. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Call for Sealed Bids for the Whiskey Creek at <br />Ellensburg Water Company Inverted Siphon Project <br />LEAD STAFF: Arden Thomas, Water Resource Program Manager. <br />
