<br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> <br />“Kittitas High School FCCLA Day” <br />September 8, 2026 <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas Secondary School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Chapter represented Kittitas <br />County and their community with distinction at the 2026 FCCLA National Leadership Conference held July 5–10, 2026, in Washington, <br />D.C.; and <br />WHEREAS, the National Leadership Conference brought together more than 10,000 FCCLA members, advisers, and guests from across the <br />United States, Puerto Rico, and American Samoa to participate in leadership development, career exploration, community service, <br />competitive events, and networking opportunities; and <br />WHEREAS, members of the Kittitas FCCLA Chapter demonstrated outstanding leadership beyond competition, including Jimmy Newcomb <br />serving as a Competitive Events Evaluator, Lily Parker presenting a RED Talk on Chapter Promotion, and both Lily Parker and Jimmy <br />Newcomb representing the chapter in the FCCLA National Showcase; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas FCCLA students achieved exceptional success in national competition, including: <br /> Anna Main earning a Silver Medal in Focus on Children for her project Setting the Table for Reading; <br /> Gilena Provaznik earned a Silver Medal in Public Policy Advocate for her project Fueling STEM; <br /> Aiden Conley, Jared Johnson, and Parker Lowe earned a Gold Medal and placed 4th in the Nation in National Programs in Action <br />for their Career Connection project; and <br /> Carson Danielle, Colt Fekkes, and Kade Henry earned the National Championship in Chapter in Review Display, demonstrating <br />remarkable perseverance by overcoming significant damage to their display during shipment and delivering an award-winning <br />presentation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas FCCLA Chapter was further honored as the National Runner-Up for its Explore Act Tell project addressing food <br />insecurity within the local community, and received the prestigious Ultimate Chapter Award, FCCLA's highest chapter honor recognizing <br />excellence in leadership development, community service, career preparation, and member engagement; and <br />WHEREAS, these remarkable accomplishments reflect the dedication, perseverance, leadership, teamwork, and community spirit of the <br />students, advisers, families, and supporters who continue to invest in the success of Kittitas youth and inspire future generations of leaders; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners hereby represents that the citizens of Kittitas <br />County join in celebrating and honoring the FCCLA members for their achievement and hereby proclaim September 8, 2026, as “Kittitas <br />High School FCCLA Day in Kittitas County”. <br />ADOPTED this 1st day of September 2026.
