Project Description Replace two propane generators serving the Sheriff’s office with a new one. Generator loads will be revised to add items not currently on the generator. Panels and transfer switch arrangement will be reviewed and revised to suit the new generator and new loads. Propane fuel tank and piping will be reviewed and revised as needed to accommodate the new generator sizing and configuration. Project will be publically bid. Scope of Services Design Phase: Provide field reviews, engineering, drawings, and specifications to allow for the work. Construction cost estimates and updated schedules are included with each progress submittal. A 60% progress set, 90% progress set, and final 100% (bid ready) set of submittals are included. We assume you will provide us the Division 00 contract documents (bid form, contract, etc.). Bid Phase: Attend the pre-bid meeting, respond to bidder questions, review substitution requests, issue any required addenda, and review bids. Construction Phase: Attend the pre-construction meeting, review product submittals, answer contractor questions, conduct and attend virtual meetings during construction (assume 4), provide one site visit during construction, review pay requests, provide one punchlist review, one punchlist back check, and review project closeout documents (O&M manual, generator test reports, etc.). Proposed Fee We propose to provide our services on an hourly charge basis, not to exceed our authorized fee without your prior permission. Fee summary: Engineering: Design Bid CA Totals $19,780 $1,735 $10,375 $31,890 June 10, 2026 Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office – Generator Replacement Engineering Services Proposal Page 2 Reimbursable: Mileage $ 900 Printing $ 200 Total Reimbursable $ 1,100 Reimbursable costs will be billed as incurred in accordance with County requirements. Total not-to-exceed fee with Reimbursable: $ 32,990 See the attached for a list of expected engineering tasks and hours. Preliminary Schedule Assuming a notice to proceed by June 24th, here is a preliminary schedule.
