KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: August 4, 2026 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge the MOU Between Kittitas County <br />and Crisis Connections <br />BACKGROUND: This MOU is to allow for Crisis Connections to provide 24/7 access to a <br />scheduling phone line to making "bridging appointments" for patients who are <br />discharging from a Correctional Institution in the context of opiate use concerns. Three <br />options of outpatient providers in their area will be offered with at least one telehealth <br />option. KCJ will provide the individuals information, a brief synopsis, and confirmation <br />of verbal agreement of intent to attend appointment provided by CC. CC will provide <br />clinic/provider information and specifics appointment appoint to staff facilitating release <br />to be given to the individual. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Acknowledge the MOU Between Kittitas County <br />and Crisis Connections <br />HANDLING: No Handling. <br />LEAD STAFF: LEC Duncan <br />
