(Effective date: July 1, 2026- June 30, 2027) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The purpose of the agreement establishes use of the 2026 one-time Opioid Abatement Strategies <br />Funding to provide barrier reduction support for individuals impacted by opioid use disorder, <br />including transportation, basic needs, and reentry assistance. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutors: Reviewed and approved July 8, 2026. <br />Kittitas County Auditors: Reviewed and approved July 8, 2026. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves the AFS between Kittitas County and Peers <br />Rising.
