ACTION REQUESTED:
The Board of County Commissioners’ authorizes a Resolution authorizing the execution of an
Interlocal Agreement between the Kittitas County Public Health Department and Tacoma Pierce
County Health Department. (Effective dates: January 1, 2026- December 31, 2031)
BACKGROUND:
The Interlocal Agreement between the Kittitas County Public Health Department and Tacoma
Pierce County Health Department is made and entered into so that KCPHD may issue food
workers cards from the Tacoma Pierce Food Handlers online system. The agreement outlines
funding and maintenance of the online version of the Tacoma Pierce County Food Handlers test
in Kittitas County.

Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office: Reviewed and approved on July 8, 2026
Kittitas County Auditor’s Office: Reviewed and July 8, 2026
RECOMMENDATION:
The Board of County Commissioners’ authorizes a Resolution authorizing the execution of an
Interlocal Agreement between the Kittitas County Public Health Department and Tacoma Pierce
County Health Department. (Effective dates: January 1, 2027- December 31, 2031)
HANDLING:
Sign Resolution and Director will sign Interlocal Agreement.
