07/14/2026 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON CONFERENCE ROOM SPECIAL MEETING <br /> TUESDAY 1:00 PM JULY 14, 2026 <br />Board members present: Vice-Chairman, Brett Wachsmith; Commissioner, <br />Laura Osiadacz. Chairman Cory Wright-Excused. <br />Others: Jodi Larsen, Office Administrator; Amy McGuffin, Executive <br />Director, Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS: NONE SPECIAL MEETING CHAMBER CEO-ADO UPDATE COMMISSIONERS <br />At 1:00 p.m., Vice-Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting with <br />the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. <br />Amy McGuffin, Executive Director of the Kittitas County Chamber of <br />Commerce, provided the Board with an update on the Associate <br />Development Organization’s (ADO) current projects and funding. Ms. <br />McGuffin reported that, with the ADO’s assistance, more than $36 <br />million in grant funding has been awarded to Kittitas County. These <br />funds have supported more than 253 businesses, served 439 students <br />through eight youth summits, and supported more than 142 meetings <br />and planning sessions with over 93 engaged partners. <br />Ms. McGuffin also reviewed upcoming plans for the Thorp Mill site. <br />Applications are being pursued for capital funding, RCO grants, and <br />.09 funds. The proposed plans include clearing trees and making the <br />property available for day use and camping. <br />The Board discussed with the ADO the possibility of hosting a <br />student “Community Civic Day” at the Courthouse.
