BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLU TION NO.2026- l,A <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS AND KITTITAS COUNTY, <br />WASHINGTON FOR THE HOUSING OF INMATES <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Corrections wishes to designate <br />the Kittitas County Jail as a place of confinement for the incarceration of one or more <br />inmates laMully committed to its custody; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County is willing to accept and keep in its custody such <br />inmate(s) in the Kittitas County Jail in exchange for Washington State Department of <br />Corrections housing Kittitas County lnmates as mutually agreed upon by the parties; and <br />WHEREAS, the governing bodies of each of the parties to the lnterlocal Agreement <br />attached hereto have determined to extend this lnterlocal Agreement by action taken at a <br />regular meeting; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the BOArd Of COUNTY <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution by the Sheriff of <br />Kittitas County of an extension to the lnterlocal Agreement for the Housing of lnmates that <br />is attached hereto, and incorporated herein by this reference, and which shall be forthwith <br />filed with the Kittitas County Auditor pursuant to RCW 39'34.040. <br />ADoPTED tnis 2 \ gT day of U 2026. <br />BOARD cou COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTI , WASHINGTON <br />Co right, ChfgWilT <br />mith, Vice-Chairman <br />acz, Commissioner <br />of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />(Deputy Clerk of the Board-It/anCy€,rcltffilz <br />J D di Lare an <br />i' <br />RESOLUTION
