KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: July 21, 2026 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of <br />the Agreement between the Washington State Department of Corrections and the County <br />of Kittitas, Washington for the Housing of Inmates. <br />BACKGROUND: This Agreement is signed between the Washington State Department <br />of Corrections and Kittitas County for the housing of inmates beginning 7/1/2026. This <br />Agreement is a 1 for 1 agreement allowing DOC to house inmates and in return KCJ will <br />house DOC inmates for the same number of days. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved <br />this Agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of the <br />Agreement between the Washington State Department of Corrections and the County of <br />Kittitas, Washington for the Housing of Inmates. <br />HANDLING: Please return 1 signed original to KCSO.
