KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />AGENDA SESSION STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA SESSION DATE: July 21, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the <br />Chair’s Signature on Task Order 2026-01 with J-U-B <br />Engineering to Perform Construction Support Services <br />for the Bowers Field Hangar Taxilane Complex – Phase <br />1 Design. <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners approved a <br />resolution to award J-U-B Engineers the contract to be <br />the Bowers Field consultant on January 3, 2023, <br />providing general planning and engineering services. <br /> <br /> Task Order No. 2026-01 for the construction support <br />services of the Hangar Taxilane Complex project is <br />being submitted for consideration. J-U-B has submitted a <br />task order in the amount of $228,160.00. Concurrence <br />has been made by the FAA for the task fee for this <br />project. <br /> <br />Project funding for Bowers Field construction project <br />FAA/AIP No. 3-53-0026-025-2026 has been awarded <br />and accepted by resolution 2026-109. Funding requires <br />a 5% local match. Match funds are available in the <br />Airport Fund. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution authorizing the Chair’s signature <br />on Task Order 2026-01 with J-U-B Engineering to <br />perform construction support services for the Bowers <br />Field Hangar Taxilane Complex – Phase 1 Construction. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Task Order 2026-01 <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Public Works Director
