KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: Tuesday, July 07, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge the modification to the 2025 <br />Cooperative Law Enforcement Agreement #24-LE-11061700-080 MOD 003 for $25,000 <br />between the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office and the US Forest Service, Okanogan- <br />Wenatchee National Forest. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office has worked with the US Forest <br />Service for several years. The purpose of this agreement is to document a cooperative <br />effort between the parties to enhance State and local law enforcement in connection with <br />activities on National Forest Service lands and provide for reimbursement to the Kittitas <br />County Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Acknowledge the 2025 Cooperative Law <br />Enforcement Agreement #24-LE-11061700-080 MOD 003 in the amount of $25,000 <br />between the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office and the US Forest Service, Okanogan- <br />Wenatchee National Forest. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Sheriff’s Office to obtain signatures from USFS and return one fully <br />executed original to BOCC. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff
