Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />07/07/2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves a Resolution to Authorize Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement between Kittitas County and the Washington State Department of Health. <br />(Effective dates: 01.01.26-12.31.29) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The agreement is made by and between the State of Washington Department of Health and <br />Kittitas County Public Health to cover TB medications used to treat active TB disease in patients <br />who are under or uninsured or who lack prescription coverage and are not covered by Medicaid <br />or Apple Health. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutors: Reviewed and approved June 16, 2026. <br />Kittitas County Auditors: Reviewed and approved June 16, 2026. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves a Resolution to Authorize Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement between Kittitas County and the Washington State Department of Health. <br />(Effective dates: 01.01.26-12.31.29) <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />N/A <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Kate Johnson
