AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: July 7, 2026
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to acknowledge a grant to the Kittitas County
Sheriff’s Office from Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission for the
purpose of Officer Wellness.
BACKGROUND: This contract was won competitively. This grant is for the purpose of
establishing officer wellness programs, to include building resilience, injury prevention,
peer support, physical fitness, proper nutrition, stress management, suicide prevention,
physical health, mental health supports/services and any other program that focuses on
officer wellbeing.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and
approved.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to acknowledge a grant to the Kittitas County
Sheriff’s Office from Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission for the
purpose of Officer Wellness.
HANDLING: No handling.
