KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: July7, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners to approve the <br />Resolution adopting the Sheriff’s rate for Cost per Deputy for Budget year 2026. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office currently bills outside agencies <br />and other organizations for the cost of law enforcement services. The Sheriff has <br />developed a plan in accordance with the United States Office of Management & Budget, to 2 <br />CFR Part 200, Uniform Administration Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements <br />for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance), Kittitas County Sheriff needs to adopt a rate for the <br />Cost of a Deputy. <br /> <br />Two rates are non-federal and federal. The County Auditor has certified the Cost Allocation Plan <br />at the below rates: <br /> Non-Federal: Federal: <br />Regular hours non-federal $130.00 Regular hours federal $113.00 <br /> Overtime hours non-federal $159.00 Overtime hours federal $142.00 <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request the Board of County Commissioners to approve the <br />Resolution adopting the Sheriff’s rate for Cost per Deputy for Budget year 2026. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one signed copy to the Sheriff’s Office <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff
