COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
AGENDA SESSION
REGULAR MEETING
TUESDAY 10:00 A.M. JUNE 16, 2026
Board members present: Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith and Commissioner
Laura Osiadacz. Excused: Chairman Cory Wright.
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, Office
Administrator; Kasey Knutson, Human Services Manager; Jesse Cox, Solid
Waste Director; Arden Thomas, Water Resource Manager; Stephanie Hartung,
Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor; Molly McDowell, Deputy Prosecutor II;
Miko Tempski, Deputy Prosecutor III; Nancy Shaff, Chief Administrative
Deputy; Heather Ryan, Records Deputy; Josh Fredrickson, Public Works
Director; Mackenzie Carter, Assessment Coordinator; and approximately 20
members of the public.
CALL TO ORDER
Vice-Chairman Wachsmith called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE
Vice-Chairman Wachsmith led the Pledge of Allegiance.
INTRODUCTION OF NEW COUNTY EMPLOYEES - NONE
PROCLAMATIONS
PROCLAMATION JALINA BLACKMORE DAY COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve a Proclamation declaring June 23,
2026, as Jalina Blackmore Day in Kittitas County, recognizing her WIAA
2B Track & Field State Championship title in the High Jump event. Vice-
Chairman Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
PROCLAMATION NELLIE NICHOLLS DAY COMMISSIONERS
Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve a Proclamation declaring June 25,
2026, as Nellie Nicholls Day in Kittitas County, recognizing her WIAA 2B
Track & Field State Championship title in the 400M Dash event.
Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
