f <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF'KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />KITTITAS COUNTY AND HOPESOURCE FOR SENIOR SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY <br />PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, in its efforts to continue providing resources <br />to those in need via the Kittitas County Homelessness and Affordable Housing <br />Committee which receives funding via local document and recording surcharge <br />fees pursuant to RCW 36.22.250 and the Affordable and Supportive Housing <br />Sales and Use Tax Credit pursuant to RCW 82.14.540 RCW, to provide resources <br />to the community for those in need; and <br />WHEREAS, the County, through Kittitas County Public Health Department, has worked with <br />HopeSource, a Washington non-profit corporation to provide services to those in <br />need in the community; and <br />WHEREAS, HopeSource and Kittitas County have developed an agreement for HopeSource to <br />provide rental assistance, case management, and connection support services to <br />approximately 37 seniors on an annual basis via a professional services agreement <br />that is in effect from January 1,2025 until December 31, 2026,where the County <br />will provide HopeSource with $505,715.00 in funding for this time period, to <br />perform the activities as described in Exhibit B, Scope of Work, as listed in the <br />professional services agreement attached hereto and incorporated by reference; <br />and <br />WHERBAS, it is in the best interest of the County to enter into this agreement with <br />Hopesource to provide support services to seniors in need in the community <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, Washington, hereby authorize execution of the attached Agreement upon signature by <br />the parties. <br />REsoLUrroN No. 2o2s - !95 <br />2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COLINTY, WASHINGTON <br />ABSENT <br />DATED this day ofw <br />Chair <br />Page 1 of 2
