BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025. ffi b <br />A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />KITTITAS COUNTY AND HOPESOT]RCE FOR YOUTH HOMELESSNESS <br />DEMONSTRATION PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the Board of county commissioners, in its efforts to continue providing resoufces <br />to those in need via the Kittitas Counfy Homelessness and Affordable Housing <br />Committee which receives funding via local document and recording surcharge <br />fees pursuant to RCW 36.22.250 Jnd the Affordabte and Supportive Housing <br />sales and use Tax Credit pursuant to RCW 82.14-540,to provide resources to the <br />communitY for those in need; and <br />WHEREAS, the County, through Kittitas County Public Health Department, has worked with <br />HopeSource, a washington non-profit corporation to provide services ts those in <br />need in the communitY; and <br />WIIEREAS, HopeSource and Kittitas Counry have developed an agreement for. HopeSource to <br />-p.ouid"emergencyhousing,transitionalhousing,permanenthousing,case <br />management, connection support services, family reunification, and outreach for <br />youth in need and use this funding as a,local.contributor to the larger Youth <br />Homelessness Demonstration Pr{ect funded by the United States Department of <br />Housinj and Urban DevelopmenigfUn). HoplSource agrees to serve youth and <br />young adults (age l8-24)experiencing homelissness or at risk of homelessness in <br />Kittitas County]based on thiir needs ind the above listed criteria, as listed in the <br />professional services agreement attached hereto and incorporated by reference; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the County to enter into this agreement with <br />Hopesource to provide support ."*i""t to youth in need in the community' <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of county commissioners of Kittitas <br />county, washington, h"r"by Ntthoizeexecution of the attached Agreement upon signature by <br />the parties. <br />DATED this [o+tn day of 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington' <br />BOARD OF COLINTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COLINTY, WASHINGTON <br />ABSENT
