WIAA 28 Track & Field - 400M Dash State Champion
WHEREAS: Nellie Nicholls is a student completing her junior year at Cle Elum-Roslyn High School
and has demonstrated exceptiorrul l"uJttthip as a member of the school's Track & Field
team; and
WHEREAS: Nellie earned l't place at both the EWAC League and District 5 Championships, and
captured the WIAA 28 400M Dash State Championship title on Saturday May 30, 2026, at
Eisenhower High School, in Yakima, Washington, with a winning time of 57.54 seconds;
WHEREAS: Nellie's achievement reflects countless hours of hard work, determination, discipiine, and
dedication to excellence in both academics and athletics; and
WHEREAS: Nellie has represented her teammates, family, Cle Elum-Roslyn High School and the
citizens of Kittitas County with pride, integrity, and sportsmanship throughout her athletic
career; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Kittitas county Board of commissioners hereby
,."q,r.ri, that the citizens of Kittitas county join thern in celebrating and honoring Nellie for her
achievernent ancl heleby proclaims June 25,2026, as "Nellie Nicholls Day" in Kittitas County'
