PROCLAMATION
“Jalina Blackmore Day”
June 23, 2026
WIAA 2B Track & Field – High Jump State Champion
WHEREAS: Jalina Blackmore is a student completing her junior year at Kittitas High School and has
demonstrated exceptional leadership as a member of their Track & Field team; and
WHEREAS: Jalina has achieved another outstanding Track & Field season earning 1st place at the
EWAC League Championships; a tie for 1st place at the District 5 Championships; and
capturing the WIAA 2B High Jump State Championship for the second consecutive year
on Saturday May 30, 2026, at Eisenhower High School, Zaepfel Stadium, in Yakima,
Washington, with a championship jump of 5 feet 6 inches; and
WHEREAS: Jalina should be recognized for her hard work, determination, and commitment to both
academics in the classroom and in athletics, while proudly representing her teammates,
family, Kittitas High School and the citizens of Kittitas County;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners requests that the
citizens of Kittitas County join them in celebrating and honoring Jalina for her achievement as the WIAA
2B Track & Field High Jump State Champion and hereby declares June 23, 2026, as “Jalina Blackmore
Day” in Kittitas County.
ADOPTED this 16th day of June 2026.
