ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing on June 16t, 2026, at 2:00 pm
local time to Consider the enabling documents for the 2026-2046
Comprehensive Plan Periodic update and Development
Regulations.
BACKGROUND:
In 2025 Kittitas County started its Comprehensive Plan Periodic
Update and spent the last two years engaging the public, holding
open houses, public meetings, and Joint Planning Commission and
Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) meetings.
The Planning Commission recommended approval to the BOCC
regarding the Comprehensive Plan & Easton Subarea Plan on
March 17d`, 2026, and the Development Regulations on May 12'',
2026.
On June 2nd, 2026, the BOCC will hold two hearings as part of the
2026-2046 Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update, one for the
Comprehensive Plan & Easton Subarea Plan and a second hearing
for Development Regulations & Critical Areas.
RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for June 16th, at 2:00 pm local time to
Consider the adoption of the 2026-2046 Comprehensive Plan
Periodic update and Development Regulations enabling
documents.
HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Community Development
Services.

The Board of Kittitas County Commissioners will meet at 2:00 pm on June 16, 2026 at the Commissioners Auditorium 205
W. 5th Avenue, Rm 109, Kittitas County Court House, Ellensburg, WA to consider the enabling documents for the 2025-
2046 Comprehensive Plan Periodic update and Development Regulations.
