AGENDA DATE: June 2, 2026
ACTION REQUESTED: Acknowledge the MOU between Safe House Project, a
national nonprofit organization operating the Simply Report platform and The Kittitas
County Sheriff’s Office for the purpose of authorizing access to the Simply Report
dashboards for designated investigative personnel.
BACKGROUND: Simply Report is a web-based reporting system that allows
community members to report incidents of suspected human trafficking to include
commercial sex abuse of a minor. This program allows reporting in numerous languages
and contacts that may be anonymous without calling 911. The program will connect
investigators throughout the nation involved in human trafficking investigations to
reports and continued investigations as perpetrators relocate with zero cost the agency.
INTERACTION: The MOU with Safe House Project has been reviewed and approved
by the Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office.
RECOMMENDATION: Acknowledge the MOU between Safe House Project, and
The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office for the purpose of authorizing access to the Simply
Report dashboards for designated investigative personnel.
